"Kangaroo" method importance for premature baby's vital funtions and recovery time"

The aim of the study: to investigate \"Kangaroo\" method's importance for premature neonate vital functions and recovery time. Objectives of the study: 1. To investigate the influence of \"Kangaroo\" care method to premature neonate's respiratory function. 2. To investigate the influence of \"Kangaroo\" care method to premature neonate's action of the heart. 3. To investigate the influence of \"Kangaroo\" care method to premature neonate's blood oxygenation. 4. To investigate the influence of \"Kangaroo\" care method to premature neonate's recovery time. Methodology: Object of the research - premature neonate who are in the departments of Neonates Intensive Care and Neonates Diseases. Methods of the study: observation of the vital functions with the help of monitor \"Solar 80000m\", and complete results to the form of observation, analysis of the nursing histories. Statistical analysis of the records was made with SPSS 13,0 statistical package. Results and conclusions: \"Kangaroo\" care method: 1. Improved premature neonate's action of the respiratory system, improved stability of the respiratory function, decreased neonate's respiratory frequency by 7,027+-5,576 times per minute, stimulated faster maturation of respiratory system; 2. Increased premature neonate's blood oxygenation by 2,65 %. This allowed to reduce oxygen treatment time; 3. Decreased stress that premature neonate experiences during treatment and nursing time and thus decreased heart rate by 8,446+-5,433 beats per minute; 4. \"Kangaroo\" care method improved evacuation of neonate's stomach content, decreased regurgitation from stomach and aspiration risk. This improved weight gain of neonate's by 24,73+-0,905 g/day. Improved organized sleep of neonate - especially pass to deep sleep phase. Improved general state of health and shortens his/her hospitalization time due to \"Kangaroo\" care method (r=0.680 p=0.000)
